Dameion Hines presents Sound College’s first fashion show, the Food & Fashion Show aka Grub & Duds, which took place on April 23, 2009. The goal of Sound College events is to create community. In doing so, we recruited a team of artists to come together to present Sound College’s first season of apparel. We are showcasing the photography side of things, and we will continue to document more from this event and future events to come. We will intentionally continue to promote everyone we work with.

We ask that if you see your face in these pictures, that you tag yourself to direct viewers to what you do as an artist. Also leave comments (positive dammit) that show support of these artists or yourself, if you participated.

I’d like to give a special shout out to the entire staff, models, DJs, vendors, stores and sponsors who were involved with the event. Makeup by Lillian Marsh aka Firelily, and Morgan Smith Palmer. Hair by Talie Ayers and her team from Three Little Birds salon. And last but not least, thanks to Zen Ultra Lounge and the Kemp Foundation.

WE ARE GOING TO BE REDOING THE DONATION SHIRTS FOR THE KEMPE FOUNDATION FOR A LIVE AUCTION HERE ON THIS WEBSITE IN AUGUST.

THESE WILL BE SOUND COLLEGE SPECIALLY DESIGNED TRIBUTE T-SHIRTS TO OUR SPONSORS THAT HELPED PROMOTE THIS FOOD & FASHION SHOW. PROCEEDS FROM EACH SHIRT WILL BE DONATED TO THE KEMPE FOUNDATION FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT. OUR GOAL IS TO TRIBUTE TO COMPANIES THAT SUPPORT ARTISTS LIKE MYSELF, AND TO GENERATE MY CONTRIBUTION AND SOME CASH TO THE KEMPE FOUNDATION.
